In Q4 2024, US financial markets saw a strong performance, driven by solid economic growth and falling inflation. The S&P 500 reached record highs, buoyed by gains in technology and communications services sectors. The Federal Reserve cut interest rates twice, contributing to positive market sentiment. However, late December brought some volatility as the Fed signaled fewer rate cuts in 2025.

Internationally, China's economy picked up due to dovish monetary policy, while the Eurozone struggled with weak growth in France and Germany. The European Central Bank also cut interest rates twice, aiming to stimulate growth. Japan experienced favorable growth dynamics, with rising wages and increased consumption. Overall, Q4 highlighted the resilience of global markets despite mixed economic data.
